Anything special about the 2005 GT2???
I see a number of 2002 and 2003 GT2s for sale on the web and in magazines. I have also found a few 2005 GT2s with a few thousand miles on them, but it seems that the prices are $30k-$40k more than the 02s and 03s. Granted these are a couple years older than the 05, but $40k seems like a big difference for this. Granted the miles are lower, but by only a couple thousand. That's why I was wondering if there was something special or unique about the 2005s. Is it worth $30k-$40k more for an 05 vs the older ones?????

Thx

BTW there were only 5 brought to the US for 2005!
I hope these car's start retaining some value and appreciating, it's a shame :/
What is revised in the rear suspension of the 05 GT2? I read somewhere is that it has ball bearing (instead of rubber) joint in the lower rear control arms?
RobertP (RIP my friend) always said that his 05 TurboS had taller gears 1-3. An assertion that could hint at the 997T input shaft and gearing being used? Could this also be the case in later model (04 and 05) GT2s?
I believe the 04 and 05 also had a 27HP bump in HP to 477 and I would guess a similar torque jump. Probably nothing more than an ECU flash with more aggressive timing or boost map maybe + .1bar?
Finally, 04-05 GT2s came with the rare for GT2 GT3-style factory wheels in GT2 sizes. 8.5" front and 12" rear. These are especially beautiful due to the concave design required for the 12" wheels. Technically only 29 GT2s came with GT3 style wheels.
996 GT2 production numbers - total - 317
2001 (2002 Model year): 14
2002: 184
2003: 90
2004: 24
2005: 5
