Thought you might like to see clip taken last year by my friend Jean following (slowly) me at the track in Dubai. 705 BHP (1.5 bar i seem to remember) makes my 300 BHP seem slow....

Man, the tracks over there look like so much more has been put into them than ours. And the pavement looks smooth as silk.

I loved it when it seemed like he didn't enjoy being re-passed by that Skyline and went after him. Too bad it didn't last a few more minutes to see what he's done.

 

Sick... I thought Jean's car was a 993TT, didn't know it was an actual GT2 WHOA! Jean trade???? :0)

 

Jeans car is a great GT2 interpretation...not the real thing. A beast still though.

Im sure he won't mind me saying but he recently blitzed the Porsche Club track record here in Dubai beating all comers...GT3's, modded TT's and a race prepped 996GT2.

Was only 5 sec off the Dubai 24Hr winning 997RSR's time.

You will be able to read an article on the car in next months GT Purely Porsche.

Of course I am cruising! Check out those gear changes and RPMs My car is in a totally different category than Phil's amazing original 993RS, and I wanted to help him see his lines through this video. He was not going fast himself either. (this is over 30 seconds off the typical fast lap)

If SpeedTrip isn't happening we should get together for a open trackday .. March/April might be the last months of tracking before the heat takes over:
