The unit will also communicate with a MoTec ADL2 dash, which is what we are using in lieu of the stock instrument cluster, in terms of gear indication. Here are more pics that might help you understand the install.

Thanks for the pics looks like it will be a great ride you build there.
I will certainly let you know how well it works once I have experienced it myself. I chose not to go with a sequential transmission as this is still a street car. This unit should provide a nice midpoint between the stock set-up and a full sequential. Here are some more fun pics of our build. If you are interested in more, let me know and will provide additional posts.

I look forward to your feedback as I am considering this for my racecar instead of going to the hassle of putting in a full sequential dog box...

Thanks,
Norm

Not to deviate from the original post, but damn, 1badgt2, I guess your car is going to live up to your user name. Are you running ITB's on it, and is the intake a one-off custom made? Great stuff!

We are running ITB's and the plenum/runner design is hand fabricated custom for this application. There are 5 of these particular motors in existence and mine, which is the only "street" application. Two are in Germany and three are in the US, plus mine.

It is going to be a while. We are completing the new wiring harness and modifications to the front bumper/rear bumper, installing the undertray, developing the CF rear air diffuser, completing the concealed roll cage, and then need to do 6 weeks of body work before re-upholstering the interior.

sorry. I will just need to be patient. Hopefully we will see things running by July/August.

Understandable - thanks.

I just finished having a full car motec harness made along with an M800, ADL2 & PDM.

So I know what you mean about wiring.

I look forward to your results when you are ready...

I finally get my car back next week, test at Watkins Glen, then race MidOhio, then race Watkins Glen all in May...

Mine is an 800+ HP Endurance Road race GT2 (aircooled 993 GT2 EVo).. But it had a 996GT2 race 6 speed cable shift gearbox now.

Good Luck,
Norm

That is a GREAT car Norm! Let me know how everything works when you get it back. For obvious reasons, I would like to know if you have any issues. I am using the M800 and ADL2 set-up as well with traction control. It is a little more difficult since this car has a street orientation and we are having to combine the M800 with some use of the factory ECU to make certain "creature" comforts work.

Will do. It had a Zytek ECU previously.

No creature comforts in this except coolsuit controls LOL

Should be awesome now...

Had AIM MXL Pro before which worked well but did not have all the features I needed.

I too will have traction control (with TC trim ****) & pit speed limiter...

Setup to record all the engine internals (injector pulse width, ign advance, TPS, fuel press, oil press, oil temp, boost press, f brake press, r brake press, Left WB AFR, Right WB AFR, L EGT, R EGT, exhaust back pressure, intercooler inlet & outlet temps, turbo turbine speeds, F&R shocks, steering, current flow on all power circuits - using new F1 type Motec PDM to digitally control all power - no circuit breakers or fuses....)

The sequential is installed in the RS ,in the ramp the kit works very good,it took a lot of time because we had to do some custom parts and we didnt want to do any permanent mods to the car.
We will take the car to alignment and test the kit in the street and next weekend in the track...

Great!

I look forward to hearing how you like it on the track.

(1) If you did not worry about making permanent mods would the kit have included everything you needed or would you still need to fab parts?

(2) How much adjusting did you have to do to get the shift gates correct?

Thanks,
Norm

I made a steel ball joint adaptor because I didnt wanted to eliminate a little ball end in the gearbox selector, and a little Nylar block to block the lateral movement of the shift ****.
Adjusts are easy in the street the system works very smooth and nice..
