Oakley Design Sequential

I just ordered Oakley Design Sequential gearbox for the RS.
Michael will send the unit tomorrow and then will start the instalation, with this kit you don't have to do any permanent mods and it is reversible.
I am very exited with this cant wait,I hope Michael can give us more info in the mean time...
It has been very easy to deal with this company and the service is very good.

Will post pics ond my opinion of this in the next days.

From the URL you posted, this is not a gearbox. It is a shifter.

90PSI is infamous around these parts
It is more than just a shifter as it mounts directly to the gearbox and it's mechanism mimics the functionality of a sequential box

The kit changes the shifting mechanism for a sequential shift, keeping the clutch and all. And browsing through the site, they seem to have alot of goodies for Porsches... especially looking at the 997GT3 stuff they have... interesting

Are you keeping your original shifter or did you go with their unit? As I understood it, you have a choice.

Waiting for your impressions!

would you say it is the theory of sequential .... but is not truly the sequential type shifter that one would find in the RSR or 997gt3 cup..... i think a good driver could out shift the unit or a driver using this unit... its interesting but i think will be alot of money for what you really gain on the track.. one good thing it will keep you from hitting the "money Shift" so that could well be worth it in itself!

the unit is basically to utilize the best of both worlds...this is only a linkage/shifter unit, therefore, one need not rebuild the transmission like a holinger box would require. Matt is spot on with the insurance policy (if you will) that the shifter gives you a great feeling of security...

Gents

Here is the same system installed on my car. It is actually made by Cartronic in Germany and must be marketed thru Oakley. I actually purchased mine from Cartronic about a year ago. If you want further detail pics, I can furnish them. I am still building the car and have not been able to try the unit.
