How to launch CGT?

I have an amateur Porsche Cup coming in about a week. What the organizers did is to time a standing start launch rather then a flying lap.

I assume CGT is similar in launching technique to other mid-engined rwd cars, i.e. rise the revs to 4-6k, hold the throttle, drop the clutch, hold the throttle while the tires spin a little, when they start to gain traction gradually push throttle to the floor.

Two questions:
1. What are the correct revs for dry and wet surfaces? (im using PS2)
2. How bad are these starts for GT's clutch?

Thanks.

well if you're going to do a straight out drag on ps2 from a dig, get them warm and not by peeling out the tires, drive it around, then drop your air pressure to like 29lbs. rev to about 2000rpm, anymore than that and you'll just spin and spin. it's like any other high hp 2wd car it's all about feathering. as far as your clutch, we'll its 20k to replace one so its relative to what you think its worth to see how big your dick is. im mean really who cares, how fast you run it from a dig, you have a CGT at the end of the day. good luck.
