If you need seats that slide and recline, look at the Recaro SRDs. I had them in my last car & really liked them. They are a quality peice and bolted directly to the stock slider rails, though that was an 84 Carrera...YMMV.

At the very least you need some sort of harness mount/guide bar to make sure the belts are properly supported.

I'm following this thread as I'm interested in similar topics. Doesn't the use of the harness bar block access to the rear seats, therefore rendering his child seat useless? This is one of the issues I've been researching as I need to use my backseat now and then for my son. I can't imagine him having to crawl over/under/around a harness bar, yet I cannot imagine using a 5 or 6 point harness without one, nor with the stock seats...

Also I know the stock seats are designed to withstand the forces involved in a wreck. Though I have faith in Recaro and Sparco (and any other TUV or FIA approved seats) I'd stay away from less expensive alternatives. Again, it is one's life or quality of life at stake.

I already have the harness bar, guys, as I've stated already or maybe shown in my sig.

Chronos: The bar bolts in and out in 10 minutes. The back seats cannot be used with the bar in.

Can you point me in the direction of these seats?
