CGT, black, with yellow CF and seatbelts?

Were yellow deviated stitches, yellow tinted CF and yellow belts ever an option on the CGT?

Thanks,
Seth.

yellow tinted CF
This wasn't an option, it became "standard" because of UV rays...

Yes, I'm hating on all the CGT owners, I have to since I don't own one LOL!

So the yellow CF is normal? Should I stay away from a car with yellow CF or do they all start to have it?

Between oxidation and UV exposure, all start to have a yellowish-green tint to the resin that holds the CF.

You cant really get away from it. The resin they used wasnt not very good, probably a more like a polyester rather than epoxy, and it yellows on all the cars. Even in places that arent exposed to sunlight it yellows, which means its not from UV, but from the crap resin itself.

Seth,

If the previous owner somehow managed to keep the CGT out of the sun then chances are it won't have the yellow tint in the carbon but it may develop at some point down the road if exposed to enough sun. It sounds like you're finally getting around to buying one! Congratulations on that, buddy!

I'm flirting with it... I hate writing large checks, it always feels wrong, but the CGT is so right and it looks like it's going to hold it's value!

Buyer's remorse happens for only the shortest time, once you drive the car then that's quickly forgotten unless it's a turkey. Somehow I doubt that the CGT is a turkey. You do know that Roy has one, right? I'm guessing that's the one you're looking at.

heat period was the biggest factor to the yellowing. The engine bay is generally the first spot you see the CGT's start to yellow.

CatsExotics? Yup, just don't like the milage or the mods, I don't like the integrated radar stuff and upgraded sterio, it's also listed (that car) on dupont... highest milage, highest price. It only costs $2500 to truck something from the east to WA.

It's not buyers remorse, it's check writing remorse, I'm scottish, we don't like spending money.

Seth.
