I sold mine to Larry Cable over on Rennlist. I know he wanted to swap to another bar and had it up for sale. Shoot him a PM over there to see if he still has it.

If you need a rollbar, you should get something other than a Tequipment piece. It's a decent harness bar, but a TC Design or even a DAS Sport will provide better protection.

+1. Also have a look at GMG's.

Its a bolt in solution like the TE bar but IMO its a better design. You can also have them do a custom job like mine (see below) and have the bar mount to the rear shock towers.

A TC Design bar would be best but he wont ship it so unless you're close to the Bay Area or willing to ship your car its no go.

Yes, but they are VERY different. TC bolts to welded box sections where GMG bolts into the four seat belt points and rear shock towers this causes pressure to be in sheer (for the main hoop mounting points) where with the TC pressure will be in compressioin. Your welcome to come by any time and see my GMG bar. I also know a couple people with TC bars if you'd like to see them. Many of us will be at TH this Fri-Sun for the PCA GGR and TMR events.

Can't really help you choosing the belts i'm having the same problem myself since there are like 12 different models?! I'll be talking with someone at Wine Country Motorsports tomorrow about it. Hopefully they can help

BTW: Which weld in plate thingy bar did you see? TC Design's work is incredible. Once you remove their bar you'd be extremely hard pressed to know there was a very sturdy bar in there previously, unless otherwise told.

TC Design is here in the Bay Area, GMG is in LA. I haven't seen Colby's bar except in pics, and if I'm seeing it right, I'd much prefer the TC Design bar, which I have.

I've had both the Hybrid and Profil Schroth belts, and much prefer the Hybrid belts, but that's a personal opinion. And HANS belts/helmet, of course.

To what purpose will you be putting the bar and belts?

the tc's bar is very nice. the fab and detail look clean. i just do not want to weld the plate to the chassis. thats the thingy im talking about.

so my understanding is that if i go with the gmg bar there will be no welding. the tc bar will require a plate to be welded to chassis then bolted to that.

purpose is to track. cant make it this weekend. think im signed up for oct 8 at TH.

In which case, IMO, you're compromising your safety.

Correct, no welding need for the GMG bar and welded box sections for the TC bar. But in all honestly Tony's work is so clean you really wouldnt know there were box section welds in there if no one told you.

Nice choice. Did you order it with the rear shock tower mounts and brace?

Get the 996 GT3 euro seats. They hold you in just as well for a forth of the costs. Mighty comfy i might add. My Euro shells are much more comfortable than the standard sport seats (996 of course).
