This complete conversion would not make $$ sense unless you do all of the labor yourself and still get a decent discount on all of the parts. If you have an original 996 and convert it to a 997, by the time you are done parts, labor, paint, etc. it will have costed more than to just have purchased the 997 in the first place. At least that is the way it is now with the cost of cars in this market. Depending on what application you choose: tt, gt3, gt3rs, c4s, etc; and if you purchase all new, aftermarket, or used parts; this conversion would end up costing between 30-50k.

Wow, you got a set of the Euro RS CF seats for $5,500!
I thought they were like $12K a pair?
Would love if you could PM me this info as to purchase site.
Thank you

I actually picked them up off of ebay. And mine were from a CGT, so they are all leather and they matched up better to my all leather 996 interior. The Euro RS ones are alacantra in the middle.

Yes I have been watching yours, looks like it turned out great. I was originally going to paint my car silver as well.

I dont think the front will cost that much.....I've got all the parts original oem porsche parts mostly new.....fenders, hood, hinges brackets, gt3 front bumper, lights everything i need for approx £2,000!!!

I will fit the parts myself with the help of a friend who owns a garage.......then maybe £1,000/£1,500 to spray the parts.......so that's less than £4,000 to convert the front end including putting a gt3 look rear bumper on.

i will post pics and exact costings

lets see.... umm you are NOT doing the true RS rear end like Joe did, and you are fitting parts yourself (that does save a ton of labor IF you know what you are doing). If you are doing this work to a 996 and making it look like a 997 the OE fenders won't bolt on..
