When you look at it parked somewhere-- what do you think? --I should have done differently-- what?
Does it look different to the "real thing"? ie is there something that your trained I picks up on?

Well other than the color, wheels, and interior; to be honest it seems like the 997 rs quarters jump out quicker on my 996, than on a stock 997 rs. I haven't ever measured the width at the rear of the door between a 996 and a 997, but I bet there is a half an inch to an inch difference. Or maybe it is just a figment of my imagination, who knows. The car is back all torn down again. Changing colors to Grigio Telesto Grey with black stripes, and making some mecanical and suspension upgrades.

Joe,
Are you interested in selling any of the 996 parts off your car? I'm looking for some extra stock parts for my MkII 996 GT3. Specifically OEM suspension (shocks/stuts, springs, top plates, lower arms, etc.), exhaust (cats and mufflers) and wheels. I'm new to this forum and can PM yet otherwise I would. aruchp AT hotmail DOT com.
Thanks
-Aruch

Yes I have complete oem factory coilovers, some lower arms, headers and cats. I do not have the mufflers or wheels. You can send me an email if you like, joenismo@comcast.net

I figured since I just sold Joe some new wheels I would post them here, too. I just killed an hour of my morning reading this thread instead of getting anything else done. Worth every second. I'm floored at the amount of work that went into this. Awesome job.

Thanks again, and yes those are the new oz superforgiatas. There are couple more things I would like to do, like led taillights, but for the most part I have just been enjoying it.

The front lip is oakley design, just picked it up from another 6speeder. They are pretty rare and a bit expensive. Not going to change to gt3.2 parts. I am very happy with how it looks and drives now. The wheels really made a tremendous difference in how the steering feels and the overall handling of the car.
