Mariof430 is infamous around these parts
Thumbs up

I have the GT2 seats! They fit great and look and feel awesome! I drive the car often and would have been unhappy with the GT3 seats, too agressive bolsters pain in the *** to get in and out alot! Even the GT2 seats are a little bit tricky but well worth the effort!!!!! BEST COMPROMISE!!!!!!!

I sat in the GT2 seats at a local dealership and I have to agree with you. These would be the ones for me once I upgrade my seats. I don't understand why Porsche won't give us the option of getting the alcantara inserts if we order them.

I have lived a nightmare now for almost a year. The seats are gorgeous but I've reached my end-point.
I must say one thing. Thank you to Ryan from Speedware. He made a great effort to help me out.
Right now I'm trying to dump the seats.

Anyone thinking about seats and if you are considering daily use, comfort and track use, then go for the new GT2 seats. They are beautiful and fit perfect. I have seen and sat in them. I'm impressed.
That will be my next move after more engine work.

Well I don't have a GT3 anymore but I got a chance to sit in the new GT2 seats at the dealer and all I can say is WOW! $$$$ They probably won't save you much weight over the GT3 seats if that is what you are after but they sure to do look nice.

I have no experience with the cup seats but those definitely do not look comfy for daily driving.

If it was my money, I'll just keep the stock GT3 seats which I think are great already.

I love my stock GT3 seats, but only for drives under an hour. Beyond that, my lower back starts to ache, and upper back feels cramped.

For a 4 hour trip to track recently, I had to create my own lumbar support.

If you can afford it, gt2 seats all the way...if you are not racing...the extra flexibility, airbag, and comfort are worth it. If I could afford them, I'd have them today.

I hope a "sparco" makes a gt2 sort of seat really soon....

If you think the GT2 seats are expensive, the Cup Seat is 4k more.

The GT2 seats must be some of the most gorgeous seats available on a car... can't say if they are supportive, etc. but with the way they look, the rest just doesn't matter lol

Have the GT2 seats been approved for PCA/POC driving events?

Can anybody confirm or deny that the GT2 seats will work with 6 point harnesses? I was told that they were not compatible with the 6 point harnesses and I was seeking some confirmation. Thank you.

If you're wide get the GT2 seats; narrow get the CGT (European Club Sport option) seats.

This is an old thread. You need to sit in the GT2 seats to appreciate them. seats fold forward to access the roll bar area. No height adjustment or rake If you can fit in the european buckets good luck.

The full leather GT2 seats are expensive because of the thorax airbag and porsche OEM

They range new from 6200 to 6800; used 5500 or so

alcantara covers can be obtained for 300/ 345 if embroidered from Alpha bedding outside of Chicago ( ted, ted@alphabedding.com, (847) 550-5110, x161. he's a GT3 owner (which is why his non-car related, fabric biz does this "on the side".)

I guess I was thinking of the Clubsport seats. I thought they were the Carrera GT seats. They look very similar.
