Street car? Missed that.

In that case I'll take the R8, lose 500+lbs, double the power.

Did somebody say realistic?

Uh...2k miata, 3k LS1 V8, 2k suspension. yeah I'm a GrassrootsMotorsports kinda guy.

Next realistic choice is the E36M3 minus the engine + LS1 with mods.

Next realistic choice is the FD RX7, minus the whirlybird thingy ma bob and + LS1 with mods.

Yeah...I know, but I like V8's, and the LS1 is light and compact with great potential. And it's cheap.

Evo magazine just track tested this monster and the results were absolutely phenomenal. The Caparo hit 160 in 13.3s from a standing start. That's what you get with 610hp pushing a curb weight of 1500lb. As a reference, the same magazine managed 0-160 in 22.0s for the 997GT2. Now let's talk track performance. On P-Zero Corsa's the Caparo lapped Bedford Autodrome's West Circuit in 1:10.8. For comparison - 430 Scuderia 1:21.7, Carrera GT 1:23.3, GT2 1:23.5.

+2 but RWD instead of r8 AWD.

If it doesn't have to be street driven, I'll take an 08 Ferrari F1 car.
