Your idea of the "PERFECT" track car.

Just an idea, if you could mix and match the parts of any of the cars on the market, what combination would make you the happiest. As if it were to come from the factory this way.

If you could take ANY aspect down to the rev limit, how would your car look, drive and feel and who would build which parts. Still a car you can drive on the street though.

I'll start

Looks- (White) Aston Martin V8 Vantage (widebody like the DB9 running speed GT)

Suspension- ACR suspension designed by Porsche

Motor - N/A LS7, but built by Porsche, 8700 rpm rev limiter, 600 hp

Gearbox/Tranny - Viper T60 with GT3 gear ratios, GT2 tranny cooler, 6 speed

Brakes- PCCB Gen II

Aero- Viper ACR

Exhaust Note - CGT

Aids- ABS with toggle switch to disengage.

Seats- Euro GT3 seats

Weight- 2600 lbs (no driver, w/ fluids)

This is such a hard question, lol! There are so many cars I would like to modify. I think the perfect combo would be:

gray ZR1
KW coilover treatment
euro GT3 seats
less than 3000 lbs with driver/fluids

Nice...

For a street/ track car, how about (all Porsche parts):
Grey old school 911, say late 60s early 70s, fully caged
Relocated suspension pickups, 2x adjustable JRZ/ motons (or better), 275s and 315s
PMNA 997 GT3 motor, ~8500 rpm and a bit over 460 hp
Shift it yourself G50 6 speed with custom ratios
PCCB brakes, no abs
Weight 2050 wet, RSR wing and splitter for the track

That'd do, I think...

For a track car:

If I had to choose one ready built car absolutely perfect track only car Id have to pick the Caparo T1. Nothing mentioned above will touch it on any track until it catches on fire. Hope they got the kinks out as Im a fan of the T1.

I saw the clip on Top Gear recently about this car, can be very scary. But it was very fast.
