Adrift is on a distinguished road
Metlife thinks my 6GT3 is a CGT!

I called up to get coverage...give them the VIN, they give me a reasonable number and all is well. A week later I get a letter in the mail saying they are cancelling my coverage because they cannot properly value the car. I call up and the underwriter says the NADA database shows used GT3s at over $400k in value. I say "um, I think he is confusing my humble GT3 with a CGT." I have faxed them a buyer's order etc to try to convince them they have a case of mistaken identity. Hopefully it works.

Does this mean if I total it before my coverage is cancelled formally I get a check for $400,000+?!? Who wants to hit me?

The first year my olde man had his CGT, the insurance company based his premium on a regular Carrera... even with the higher agreed upon value. They figured it out when renewal time came along...

They are idiots. We have been fighting with MetLife for a year now. We have to have 4 different policies just to insure all of our cars. They thought out GT3 was Turbo and just left it at that. We had two claims this summer...the first two ever: one, the cayman got broken into (4K in damage); two, my moms 335 cab parking brake failed and it rolled into a tree (5K in damage). They called us up and told us they were canceling our policies. Their risk manager must be on crack because our policy is crazy money.
