A and C pillar trim removal

I need to remove the A and C pillar to get access to the headliner. Does anyone know how to remove the pillar trims? Does it simply pop out?

i figure out how to remove the headliner with help of the 997 service CD. i only need to remove the front portion but the principle remained the same. here are couple photos for reference

pop the A pillar trim off gently by pulling. you can remove the coat hanger on B pillar by prying it off from the bottom of the bracket then loosen the screw on top of the B pillar and pop the top of B pillar trim lose to ease removal of A pillar

lift the front of the A pillar trim and it's off

the alcantara headliner canvas has thin metal wire frame that hook on to the sides of the A and C pillar. just simply unhook from the plastic retainer

remove the sun visors and central courtesy light assembly and disconnect the wires

pop the front portion of the headliner lose by pulling it downward. it is held up by couple metal clips

disconnect the metal wires that run across the headliner by gently pulling down on the mid portion of the wire and carefully twist the ends of the metal wire from the plastic clips at each sides. careful not to break the plastic clips

now loosen the rest of the cross support wire frames and the roof is exposed. install is a simple reversal of removal
