997.1 GT3 wing - What is the gurney flap made of?
997.1 GT3 wing - What is the gurney flap made of?
Quick question for GT3 owners
On the OEM GT3 rear decklid, I noticed that there is a black strip that goes across the width of the car beneath the wing. I've heard of it referred to as the gurney flap.
On the 997 aerokit, this part doesn't exist and I want to add it as a subtle cosmetic addition to my C2 (it's not fast enough to be funtional
j/k)
My question is - what is this part made of? Is it a hard plastic piece or is it more of a soft plastic/rubber?
Thanks!

It is made of hard rubber, with 4 mounting "caps". Can't seem to download the parts catalog page here, but here are the part numbers:
997-512-365-90 Spoiler
999-076-082-40 Caps, T5/16 x 7,0 (4) required
Hope this helps. Good luck.
