F430 v 360CS

I still have a certain irrational lust to own another F car, so how do you rate a CS compared to the new 430? I came close to buying a 360 a couple of years ago, but came to my senses. My 308 4 valve was fun for awhile, but not very fast. My 512BB was actually no fun to own, but Sammy Hagar did a pretty cool video of my identical car. Owning a Ferrari seems more of an emotional decision than an a rational one, based on my limited experience.

You think a few years (3) at least before release??? I think the current CS would give the comfort 430 some trouble on the track...

A very large amount of the F430 comes from the Stradale (including technology, interior, exterior, etc). The 430 doesn't have anything on the CS - especially in terms of driving experience. The CS is about 400 lbs less and with all the sound deadening material, etc removed, it's still going to be a more race car like experience. Additionally, I don't know if all the CS's titanium suspension (and lug nuts) are going to transfered to the 430. That and the carbon brakes are what is responsible for the unbelievable feel, and completely flat cornering while providing a surprisingly good ride.

Who cares. The ferrari forum only has 250 posts. Will the admin please move this thread to that forum please. We have more important things to talk about here like RMS, loose swaybars, squeaks and rattles, ...

Jack, I haven't photographed my WRX in years... But, the brakes are incredible.

Arling, that's probably true, but, as much as I hate to tell you this, I haven't paid for 'em yet.

I have to thank the boys at Lucent again for going above & beyond, getting my brakes and installing them.

Let's not be car snobs -- don't neglect Subie. I love all cars, even Sharky's GEO.
