Highly Recommend - Bob and Rusty Race School
Folks-
Just returned from 4 day Grand Prix and Advanved Racing school at Bob Bondurant in Phoenix. Rusty is his friendly sidekick - a dog. Took wife and 16 year old son, obtained full SCCA license on the spot.
Incredible amounts of track time. They have over 100 Corvettes, from C6's to ZR1s. Open wheel racing included Formula Fords and the new, wonderful Formula Star Mazda car. 125cc shifter cart racing at night.
Met Lynn St. James, who was visiting, as was Michael Andretti. This is the best of the racing schools, IMHO. This is where Dale Earnhardt learned to do road course racing for NASCAR, and Paul Newman learned all of his school-based racing technique. 41 years in business.
I finally learned proper trial-braking technique, which I applied to my PCA DE event back home. Will post videos and pics if there is interest.
My point - racing is racing, no matter what the brand. Basic techique applies to all cars, coupes to open wheel to carts, not specific to Porsche. Look at how the Pro drivers move from one racing series to another. Go where the expert drivers train, or spend more and have a 'Porsche' experience at Porsche driving school.
Thanks for listening.
