997.2 GT3 first drive by Driver Republic

Enjoy the read.
http://blog.drivers-republic.com/200...-997-gt3-gen2/

More linear torque curve, less understeer, faster than 997tt from 100km/h to 200km/h, five times the down force..... Nice!

Great post and great read too. Can't wait to see how it performs.

So So glad that some guys at Porsche are as adamant about no PDK as some of us enthusiasts.

Good article...it makes me want to get one!

That being said, I think the author lost a tiny bit of crediblilty when he kept complaining about the GT3's "noisy exhaust".

Great article! Thank you for posting!

The new GT3 mk2 sounds really exciting. I can't wait to see the performance specs. I was always a little peeved that the GT3 mk1 and RS didn't have the RSR's 3.8L engine. I have nothing to complain about anymore

If the only negative thing they find is the fact that the new steering wheel has a bit too much plastic ....

Well, that says it all basically

This car rocks

He also complained about the steering wheel being too fat! I always felt that the steering wheel is too thin on Porsches. My last 997 GT3 had the "thicker" steering wheel option and it still was a lot thinner then my preference. Perhaps finally, they made it thick enough.

Faster than the previous GT3 Cup on slicks on the Ring ??

I thought it was a minor upgrade to the 997... I may have to reconsider it now !
