How fast is the mk2 selling?

Just wondering, from what some ppl told me the GT3 mk1 sold very fast and waiting times were quickly becoming very high ( 1 year and more). How is this for the new one at the moment?

Definitely won't be like the wait times for the 7mk1 given the economy, etc.

I had to cancel mine. My dealer currently has 0 sold. And the biggest in the country can get one with a 4 month wait if you order now.

Why have you had to cancel? Was it the dealer? I thought you were only a month or 2 from receiving....

You can say thank you to the current economic climate for this. I had to scale down my "toy budget" quite a bit so I can be prepared for what is still coming.

Just bought a 2nd hand 2007 Cayman S with lots of goodies on it.

Sorry to hear ir_fuel but you've obviously done the best and most responsible thing for you in light of the financial times. Never mind, I'm sure things will work out and you'll be in a gt3 in no time....

Wait Times

Not sure why anybody would have to wait. Porsche ends up building to many of the dam things anyway. I just sold my 07 GT3RS and took a bath on it. I took a pretty good hit on my 04 GT3 when they came out also. Not sure i will be buying anymore 'waiting list" Porsche

Vince I hear you loud and clear. I recently sold my very nicely modded 997GT3 and it hurt. My GT3RS I will just have to keep because everyone just wants to steal it. Time to have sold was before the economic meltdown.
The belief of "holding their value" is pie in the sky.
The new mk2 GT3 even as nice as it appears will just have to wait. Pick up a used one in 2 years depending on the economy but it is my accessment that the economy is only beginning to tank.

Maybe wait for the GT3 with direct injection and PDK?
