I am speccing an Aug build gt3. Black wheels are now apparently available. I value any opinions regarding black wheels on a white gt3 or sticking with the ti standard finish on the white car.
Yeah, I know it's my car, get what I want, but I have not seen either combo IRL. The P-car confiqurator looks very cool, but some pics of cars for sale in auto trader look a bit different.
Opinions appreciated. The car has to be specced by the 9th of June.
Right now I'm at the coin toss. Usually, when it comes down to that, I'll go with the cheaper item, lol.

I would go with the standard TI colored wheels. The Black don't seem to be all black, only the centers. IMO, White w/TI wheels looks best. Also, $1,700 seems a bit much to blacken wheels. You can have them 100% powder coated in black for less than $500 or so (vs. paying $1700 to only have the center black).
Can't go wrong with the black on white, though it seems to be a bit trendy of late. Seemed the thought was to get the black wheels from the factory over getting the powder coat via third party, due to quality and longevity.

No it does not matter when you are driving. It's when I am starring at my car in the garage drinking a Heineken; that's when it matters!
I appreciate the comments. Bot cars above look great with the black wheels.
If I do it, it will be factory for many of the reasons in the other thread on the same topic. I personally don't think that by the time dismounting, remounting, balancing, etc... is done, that the savings will be more than $300-$500. That may not be worth the time and effort and less than a Porsche perfect shinny finish and warranty to make it worth going that route. Just a thought.

I agree on the factory wheels, my wheels are factory issue and the option price was $2160 because the car is white. The green and orange RS's included black wheels as part of the $3,015 up charge for those two colors. You should try to verify if the factory black wheels are all black, the latest factory wheels seem to be painted everywhere except around the outer lip. Personally I do not care for that design. Good luck.

You're right, the outer lip/leading edge is left unpainted as are the barrels.
The option is $1630 for the .2 gt3.
