GT2 or GT3???
GT2 or GT3???
I currently own a 997 Turbo and was thinking of getting either a GT2 or a GT3
i know both are very different cars compared to the turbo but i really wanted a more drivers car that i will enjoy more on the track
what are your opinions on which one i should get. i cant test drive them here so i really value your opinions
thanks

The GT2 will be faster, but the GT3 will be more fun to drive anyways. The GT3 will make you a better driver because it won't allow you to rest on torque and hp, you have to know how to drive it to go fast. In the GT2 you can go slow in the turns and blast the straights, brake hard and still turn a good lap time.

You answered your own question there: GT3, plus you'll save about 80K Vs the GT2, if you're are talking about ordering new ones.
996 GT3/GT2 No Electronic Nannies to get in the way Priceless.
I have had both 996GT3 and 996GT2. Both are awesome cars.
I talked to the new owner of my old GT3 and could have purchased it back. I loved the GT3, the only new Porsche I have ever had, but the GT2 is a worthy replacement.
I don't buy into the GT3 can be more rewarding and the GT2 is just point and shoot. A properly set up GT2 will run rings around a properly set up GT3 on the racetrack. The only thing I miss about the GT3 is the engine screaming when it hits 8000 rpm.

i guess till now everyone has convinced me to get the GT3 and please continue to give your views

Agree with everything you said and have also owned both 996 versions-with mods. That being said, it may be time for a change from the GT2 and I've been thinking hard about the next GT3. Love the hi-rpm scream of these engines. IMO, the GT2 is better on the street given it's torque characteristics and will be ultimately faster on the track(with an experienced GT2 driver) but the GT3 will be more fun on the track for most drivers. They're both great cars, just wish I could keep both.

The GT2 will be faster on the road, of course, and on most tracks. But the killer argument for the GT3 is its price compared to the GT2. The higher cost of the GT2 does not justify the value you get for it, in my opinion.
