Is there less reinforcement? How much weight does it shave?

 

as a point of reference, I just went from a stock 996-3 rear bumper to a 996 carbon/kevlar cup bumper -- the real one -- not a knock off...

Stock 996-3 rear bumper painted was about 7 lbs according to my tech and the cup one un painted was 1.6 lbs... so a slight weight savings...

I did however lose 70+ lbs removing stock exhaust and installing a custom one...
