scott is infamous around these parts
So for say 15-20 days of tracking a year, moderate use, if ordering a '10 GT3 go PCCB? I have to say in my experience, the Porsche drilled rotors do not last long due to stress cracks. I only got 8 track days out of my last set of drilled GT3 rotors. Switched to Brembo slotted.

PCCB's are the ultimate catch-22.....no advantage on the street and you cant use them on the track because they ARE a wear item and will cost more to replace...hence the reason most track folks switch to steel/iron. Only advantage is less brake dust (though you can eliminate most of this on iron brakes by switching to carbon kevlar pads).

I really dont understand the "put them in a box for resale" reasoning...you pay $9k+ with tax for PCCB, then $5k plus for iron replacements (plus any labor to switch them) to maybe get 3-5k more at resale.

Bill, are the carbon kevlar pads applicable for the track? That may be a good solution to the dust issue.

Good question....I dont track my car so cant say. There are several manufacturers that make the carbon kevlar pads...I am using Carbotech Bobcat (their street pad) on my GT3 and get ~70% less dust than stock pads. I do know they make several different levels (track, race, etc) but have no experience with them. For street use I am happy with both performance and lack of dust.
