Which would be your choice and why?

Panamera for the handling and AWD to put the power down from a dig - also more practical with the hatchback lol.

S63, even though i own a 2006 c4s the panamera dont look to appealing. the s63 still gives you the amount of torque and horsepower you need, but still can be a daily driver as well. s65 is just a waste of money 185,000. a big waste.... vs the 125,000 sticker for the s63. it like 4.3 vs. 4.0 seconds.... no much of a difference.

S65

My vote goes to the S65, especially if you can find a nice used one with low miles. I've seen cars advertised for under $125k with less than 15k miles.
The torque output of the V12 BiTurbo engine is unmatched in the world of big sedans. A simple computer flash and you have 700+ HP and silky smooth power delivery.

Actually, I''m comparing the Panamera to the future S class. Next year. More power, tech, led daytime running lights, etc.

I'm still not entirely satisfied with the end result of the Panamera and not sure if I ever will be. The S65 on the other hand is an excellent car, in my opinion. The subtle changes in the 2010 model only make the car that much better.

Drive the S65

My advice is to drive all the cars in this class and price point. IMHO, if you drive an S65, it will be very difficult for you to buy anything else.
(I had high hopes for the Panamera, but the styling just leaves me cold.)
If you want a real bargain, find a nice S600 or CL600 and do a few mods. The result will be a terrific V12 car at a bargain price. Under 10k miles for $100k-$105k!

S65 driven by yourself is a bunch of fun, but it will lose out in terms of handling as compared to the panamera.

I test drove the panamera the other day, great car by itself but I just can't bare to look at it. I am trying my best to like the styling, looking at it from different angles - but it is just butt ugly.. it's not proportionate and the stance is wayy too wide.

I agree with most of the posts above. We (my folks) have an S65 and it's a blast if you're looking for a fast cruiser. I'll give it my vote for now...

Let's see
VW has already stated the Panamera will be shut down after the first model run

Seems to me the question has already been answered...
