GG300 is infamous around these parts
start up smoke

Went out for 2 hour drive to put on some break in miles on my new 2010 gt3 [350 total miles] parked for 20 min. started up the car smoke cloud! Is this normal? and why? I dont baby it 5000 revs. Am i doimg something wrong?

They all do it. I've been told that the flat six/dry sump geometry is the reason. Let it idle for a minute before shut down and it seems to minimize it. Most importantly, drive it and don't worry about it. In my first 5000 miles, including long distance driving and track events, I've burned about 8 ounces of oil total.

Thanks for the info. I also think that as I was giving it a bath water might have made it into the air cleaner box, and a small amount drawn into the motor, or excess water sitting on motor or exhaust causing steam/ smoke.

OMG...quick bring it back. You motor is toast...sounds like you blew a turbo seal. Oh, wait, you don't have turbos... It normal then.

Best solution is to not fill the oil to the top line. Keep it just over 1/2-1/3. Its worked well on every porche I've ever owned. They all do this otherwise.
