How many 2010 GT3's will make it to the US?
How many 2010 GT3's will make it to the US?
I know production is limited, but does anyone know what the final number will be?
I heard the US will only see 75 GT3RS for 2010!!

I heard 250 RS's will make it stateside.
As far as GT3's, estimated at less than 400 2010's if Porsche does not produce any more 2010's like the rumors strongly suggest. (2011's who knows, maybe they'll make them, maybe they won't.) I came up with my 400 esimate based on 275 or so to date sales, 100 +/- current cars on lots (some may and likely have been sold of course, but these have not been recorded as the 275) and a handful enroute. The current production ends in Jan 2010 unless more are released.

That is the current rumor. Seems to have some truth to it.
Porsche is likely trying to rid some of the current dealer cars and preserve some of the GT3's cache.

What's the source for this? Reliable? Everything I've heard so far suggests 220 - 250. I hope you're right

Just internet babble. Nothing concrete.

I've heard 3 - 5K off msrp for cars on the lot. I'm sure the discounts will get larger as the RS production approaches.
Maybe I'm being a bit optimistic, but I think that current GT3's will not be discounted more than they currently are and some maybe less. The RS's are going to be hard to get and some will go over MSRP, even in this economy.
Dealers realize that there may be no more GT3 allocations and that some RS buyers will not get RS's so they'll hold a little tighter. Winter is here but in three months the spring buyers will emerge. These cars are 2010's so the MY is not an issue. Dealers will estimate their floor plan costs over the three months and limit the discounts accordingly.
2010 turbos and even C2(S)'s are harder to get. Some turbo buyers are now having difficulties.
RS, turbo and Carrera buyers will cross shop for a GT3, especially the 2010's as they have not only become more hardcore but dd-able too. We all know of a lot of turbo owners who have happily converted -wondering why they didn't go GT3 sooner. A lot of the current lot cars may be overly optioned but the frills may appeal to a turbo buyer who wants the luxury items.
Just my .2 cents.
