Anybody run the DAS roll bar in there 997/GT3?
SubscribeOver at the PRI show this weekend in Orlando and saw a nice GT3 at the show with the bolt it roll bar. From what I could see of it, it looked top notch. I realy liked the X bracing layout.
Any words of wisdom? I have heard from some on the forum that some of the roll bars squeek after install. If so, I'll pass. Is install stright forward?
Thanks.

I have a freind with a GT2 and the DAS rear bar. He has not complained about creaking that I know of.
This is what I will be doing soon. Looks stout with the X bracing in the rear window. You can even get weld on seat brace brackets and Bk seat braces for extra safety.

Do you guys know is you can move the seat all the way back with the DAS bar installed?
I drive my 2K10 GT3 with the seat all the way back on the track and off. This would be the only other factor for it use. I am going to install BK seat brackets fixed to the floor board on te driver side and slider type on the passenger side, not sure if that matters.
I may want to go to
one shop and have the DAS bar, seat brackets and seat belts all dne at the same time to insure a good fit or make it easier to change if not.
Ideas?

it goes pretty far back but not all the way back. the bottom of the seat hits the bottom leg of the bar. i have gt2 bucket seats but i believe stock gt3 seats travel about the same. as a reference, from full forward to full rearward you get about 6.5" of seat travel. at full rear rest, i measured about 20" from brake pedal to front of seat. see attached pics.

Yes, full seat movement is very improtant. The seat braces are fixed, small sacrifice for safety. Some inconvience for seat adjustments but potentially important.
lost ya. Can you move the seats all the way back? I am adding the BK brackets to my seats for more head room mostly not moreOriginally Posted by DavidNR

leg room. If the the stock seat slides all the way
back and not hit the roll bar, I'll be ok.
