Intercooler pic's
Intercooler pictures being fitted. The water pump that we selected flows over 20 gal/min. Combined with the radiator and intercooler this setup should provide adequate cooling for the power output and beyond.

Love it, Ivan. Did the bottom pipings get moved to the sides? I noticed the pipings placed on the bottom of the intercooler on your prototype, but I see them relocated to the sides. Clearance issue?

I didn't realize you are including the Cup car decklid and spoiler with this turbo upgrade Just kidding!

Keep up the good work! By the way, are you planning on finishing the project by our next monthly meeting? If so, I can come by with a friend for the meeting and pick it up then. If not, no rush!

The tubing has not been welded in yet. We need to get the angle right so we can reproduce again and again. I will keep u posted about picking it up on the 28th. It is going to be tight.

How is the tuning being done? DME or standalone?

tuning
Tuning is done via the DME. Standalone was not necessary. That would of been a pain with all the other control units on the can bus.

Coming in a few weeks
Within a few weeks we should have the 997 gt3 finalized and on the dyno. All the design work is done and we are finalizing a few changes on the parts and drawings. The results are going to be really nice. We will post results soon. Stay tuned for great performance out of a GT3.

As far as I can tell, you are leaving the engine stock. Is this correct?

How much can you safely boost on stock CR? Stock fuel system?

Maintaining a reasonable IAT and AFR should permit to run .4 bar of boost. We have been running that amount for quite sometime now and have not experienced any problems so far. I have always regulated boost based on inlet temps when we are using stand alone with boost controller like Motec.
Here keeping temps down is important as well.

The engine is all stock. No changes internally.
