Patiently still waiting for the car...
I'll have Ivan chime in and give us an update. Last we spoke, he's re-making the headers (I didn't want prototype dull finish), relocating the radiator to the front of the car (previously on the bottom), and still working out the details on the tuning.
It's been 10 months...I miss my car dearly. I hope that my pain will benefit others when they decide to go TT. All the R&D will be done and perfected with my car.
I've been without my car for so long, my friends feel bad about asking where my car is now

I don't know what I would do without my car for 10 months. Hopefully when you get it back you will be able to enjoy it without any problems. To bad its going to be winter here in VA, you wont be able to hook up those tires in the cold with that power.
gnathologist, dude I feel for you but try my situation.
I have been flustered and enduring now a 22 month project. My E60 M5 has been out of commission for a total engine build V10 TT project.
Nothing but hassles and BS. Thousands down the hole and not very promising. Has become a major regret and nightmare.
I wish you all the best.

Just to fill everyone in on what is going on. We are redoing the jig for the headers to provide an easier simpler build for them. Also wanted to incorporate the design so that all the 911 whether GT3's or not could use them. We had to come up with a reasonable silincer package which after spending quite some time trying and testing we now have what I consider the best 2 options other than wide open available. The whole process of maing the parts for a prototype is relatively simple, after you want to make some improvements on the first go around and then yo test it. After that if everything goes well then you can make your jigs to be able to reproduce the parts. The hard part of the job is done, details are kiling me and the shop has gotten so busy it has slowed my production down a bit.
We decided that after testing the radiator under the car with a custom naca duct that we made, and then testing it on the front of the car that the front won the location. That created a whole new concept that needed to be handled. Proper air guiding over the new and facotry mounted center radiators. Out came the foam, epoxy resin, fiberglass and bondo. We started to design a new air duct as the factory one is useless now. We made a part with the above mentioned material to extract a mold from it. This piece is called a plug or negative and from that a mold will be made so that we can make the duct in carbon fiber. We are working on four variants of bumpers: 997 GT3, 996 Gt3, Cayman and standard 996 at the moment. Good time spent on this process ensures a perfect and beautiful part of the mold.
All takes quite some time and we are getting to the end, I just do not want to use crappy parts from Asia and we are making it all here. Call me **** or perfectionist but that is what we are looking for, simple install, great parts and performance second to none. Hope you all understand!!
I will post some pictures on the plugs for the ducts and soon final parts.
Respectfully,

Swung - I know how you feel buddy. I was the first NA 996 to go through the process as well as a donor car, but let me tell you, the wait was worth it. I absolutely love my car......it was a lot of R&D, lot of back and forth, but at the end of it, Ivan and IMA Motorsport delivered on their promise which is why it was worth it. To this day everyone is always asking me what I have under that hood and my response is nothing but stock.....hahahaha......I'm moving over to a 997.2 next OR a 997.1 GT3 like yours so will end up carrying this kit over to that car next.
GT3Ranger,
I'm sorry about all the troubles you're going through with your M5. Hopefully, you have the right people doing the job.
Berk,
Thanks for your encouraging words. I know Ivan will deliver my car that will exceed my expectations. It's just this waiting thing is killing me. If Ivan didn't give me a test drive of my car during its build, it would have been easier
I now know what my GT3 feels with TT, I want it now to enjoy it
Is 10 months a long time for a car to be in a shop? Definitely, but I rather have Ivan make sure each part is being fabricated to his standard and that he will not accept anything less. He's an honest guy who wants to deliver the top quality TT kit for my GT3 and I'm all for it. Through this experience, I have gained a friendship rather than someone/shop out for my money.
I will have a detailed review once I get the car back. Hopefully, I don't have to put snow tires to enjoy it
Thanks everyone.

I thought they had done this conversion before. Hope you get it back soon.
