Price for 2007 GT3
Guys:
Need your opinion. I'm ready to pull the trigger on a new 2010 GT3. But before I do, I found one 2007, 3500 miles, GTSilver/Black, Nav, Adaptive Sport Seats, sound plus, not tracked, NO CPO, 1 owner.
They are asking $89,900. Seems like a really clean car. I'm thinking $85k is the right price to pay.
Agree?

Although it is a buyers market with the economy situation, I personally think that any 07/08 GT3 under 10k miles selling for under 85k is a fire sale and the seller is desperate. Great for the buyer, bad for the GT3 resale market.
Hocklife apparently a lot of cars from private sellers that are on Ebay, the sellers believe their cars are worth much more than any 70k price and I would agree with this logic, this is my conclusion
TriSilver IMHO the 89k price is very fair because the car has no miles on it. But if the seller is desperate you can get a lower price as this is the case I see all the time with 07/08 GT3s.
What is happening with a lot of these cars is that a dealership will buy these low low mile cars add a CPO and try to get mid to upper 90s out of them or more. Does this car have Ceramic brakes? If so it is a clone of my car....
so ask yourself is a 07 GT3 with 3500 miles that is like almost new for 89k or a 10 GT3 that is +120k with zero miles and CPO worth +30k more to you? and look at the 3year depreciation with the 07 example......

$85-$90k is a good price for the above car, imo.
To the OP, consider that a 2010 is worth $18-20k more because of 3 model year ($6-7k per year) difference alone; again imo. Add in the improvements, which I consider countless (although in and of themselves minor refinements, but collectively quite an improvement) and you have my answer.
Without CPO I would pay $85k tops. Six months ago I bought my '07 GT3 with CPO and 10k miles for $82.5k and I'm sure more depreciation has set in since then. I've said it before and I'll say it again...it's a buyer's market out there.

I too followed the '07 GT3 market closely (within the past few months). I think $85k would be as much as I'd pay for that car w/o CPO. $82K w/o CPO is probably a good deal.
I think CPO on an '07 GT3 is a good idea. Hit them up with $84K CPO'd and let them know that's a "no haggle" price
But really, if it's the car with everything you want, I'd rather spend a few extra $ than to save a few extra $ on a car with options that I wish I had.

2007 or 2010 GT3?
So.....if I can afford either, is the 2010 GT3 at $125k new that much better than the 2007 GT3 with 3,500 miles no CPO....similarly configured except 2010 has PCCBs. Is it worth the extra $$$???
That depends on your perspective. I think so, especially when you add for the model year delta as I mentioned above.
I was going through the same dilemma a few months ago. In the end I opted for a 2010 as all 2007s I was interested in (low mileage, Certified) had a price tag ranging from the upper 80s to the mid 90s. Apparently most dealers chose to hold the price firmly in anticipation to the Spring. A 4% discount and a very enticing trade-in on a 2010 GT3, which included the options I was looking for, did it for me.
Besides what has been said above by those suggesting going for a 2010, bear in mind that the supply of 2007/08 GT3s far exceeds the number of 2010 units exported to this country. That in itself should cushion the 2010 depreciation rate.
Best wishes on your decision.

Maybe the new one (whenever they come out in a couple of years) will be DFI and then yes, from 997.2 GT3 to back they will be seen as the 993 is seen today for being the last aircooled 911
