997.1 gt3- how many miles is too many?
looking a buying a 997.1 gt3 in the next month...saw that most have 5-15k miles...as i know many dont daily drive them.
but i am looking at a couple with 25-28k miles. do you think this is too many? what should i pay for 1 with this many miles?
also anyone have any input in buying one with ccb's? i would prefer steel but 1 i like has ccb's. can i sell them or trade someone with steel brakes?
i hear the ccb are expensive if they have issues.. I hear of rotors cracking and i know a set is around 10k!
Looking at car below - what do you think???????

Wouldnt worry too much about the miles.
I bought a 997 GT3mk2 and i already have 3000 miles after 2 weeks.
These cars are made to be driven, not to be garage queened. Never understood ppl that pay these amounts of money to only do 1000 miles / year. Do they just drive up and down their street every month or so?

A GT3 with high miles is a happy car and an even happier owner. No such thing as too many miles in my book. I had Sharkwerks do a 3.9 conversion on my GT3 at 37K and the inners looked pretty damn good when torn down!!

I would have a PPI done on it and have them really check the brakes. I do not care for the wheels at all.

+1 but the good thing is that if they are genuine techart wheels that you could prob trade with someone for stockers and a few k cash. That would help make it even less expensive.

Pre purchase inspection. Costs a $200-$400 average. Dealers only check mechanical stuff. Find a Porsche specialist in your area that can do a more thorough inspection (body/suspension/etc), it'd still be less $ than a dealer's and offer much more. Autotalent can do the PPI for you.

These are white ones, but better price/mileage/specs IMO:
2007, 6K miles, PCCB, leather + stiching= $6K more than the one you posted:

2007, 19K miles, PCCB currently at $60K auction, should not be to far from reserve:

There was a Meteor Gray one with approximately the same miles that was listed at $71K, but it was a no name dealer. It is not a great deal, but for around $70K it would be very good. I was actually looking at this one today as well.

I would bet that the second one has a reserve close to $90K. Porsche dealers are way high on these cars right now.
