it's called grey black.
the launch car color for 2010 GT3 RS.
available on any 2010 RS, not sure if it's available on cup cars.

You are correct. I found (with little effort) more pictures of the car from porsche's website and the color is easily recongnizable in EVERY picture, save the one I posted...

Interesting. I am very familiar with grey black, and thought this looks more "blue" than typical grey black photos, such as this fine example by Kirby:

I always thought it looked more blue also.

They should have offered this grey / gold grphics package instead of the RS decals. I would have ordered this cup car look in a heartbeat, I even played with photoshop trying to copy it, but I was not sure the color was right.

Here is a quick picture of my Altas Grey 997.2 GT3 in a cloudy day, for reference. In certain lights, the Altas Grey does show a hint of blue...

And then, in different light it can be grey, or grey-ish...

Or sometimes, almost black... When not in direct light, it almost looks like a solid color. Yet, when under direct sun light, it can also be 'sparkingly' metallic...

Altas Grey is an interesting color, it changes depend on the lighting. Thus, sometimes when see in pictures we could be confused by it. Frankly, even owning the car for a while, I sometimes will still stand next to the car, stare at it, and try to figure out what is in this color.

With best regards,
