tpms & valve stem assembly question...

can you please help me with the proper torque spec for
tpms and valve stem assembly?

torque spec for bolt (a) (stem to tpms asslembly) and nut (e) (stem to the wheel assembly) shown on the illustration below...



i have no shop manual so if someone can help me, i'd be greatly appreciated!

Beru tpms

Torque is 4 Nm. Installation sheet info is HERE. The sensor also needs to be turned on - I use tool from Tire Rack HERE.

i did not know i had to use the trigger tool.

Actually, they only need to be triggered if new. If you are just moving them from one wheelset to another, they are already operating....

i bought brand new sensors for the new wheels.
thank you for letting me know.
this tpms thing is such a headache!

Neither did I. I have installed four different brand new sets of TPMS sensors (997TT x 2, CTTS, RS4) myself and never used the trigger tool. I did not have any problems.

Good point! No reason to buy a tool if it is not needed. The receivers for each wheel are in the wheel well behind plastic panels. If you zip tie the new transmitters in the wheel well and drive around:

IF your current wheels have transmitters, and your new transmitters are already on, after a few minutes you will get an error message on the dash "Too many wheel signals".

IF your current wheels do not have transmitters, and the new transmitters are on, you will get a "Flat Tire!" warning, and all 4 tires will show having 0 pressure.

Any other outcome, and the new transmitters are not activated, and the activation tool is needed.

you can program with piwis and turn off tpms permanently. i hate tpms. i turned them off on all my p cars.
