Watkins Glen...from the splitter of a cup car ;)

Got some really cool video from the Glen on friday. Unfortunately I didnt ever have one clear lap, so all out laptimes werent good, but I had a hell of a good time regardless! You can see the HUGE difference in speed btw the cup and every street car out there.

If the track was just being used by 996 cup cars, you would see mainly times from 1:56-2:00 consistently. But because all it takes is one car running a 2:15 at that place to screw up most of your momentum if a pointby isnt given IMMEDIATELY, no one even came close to that in the black run group, in which I was by FAR the quickest asshat on the track ( and the one red i was going to run I had a mechanical difficulty and couldnt even post any time that could have approached those times.)

That said, in my street gt3, best I did was a 2:12 on hoosier r6s. Was way faster later in the day than that even with the crappy traffic.

Where you driving in 3rd gear the whole time Stock 07-08 Gt3s on Hoosiers should do 2:05-2:07.

Have you had it to VIR yet?

Best event at WG is Hudson Valley PCA. 2 day, 2 run groups. Its Mid Week, so mild subscription to it

aha ya, the mid-week events are always the best for that. I want to run a group 52 event, as they are mainly comprised of racecars/experienced drivers and its open passing.

as for the video, ya, unfortunately I need to put a strobe or something on the car as for some reason, people cant see me coming up behind them...all the time...though the guy in the yellow car did apologize haha.
