About to order gt3 rs
I am about to order a gt3 rs and have heard mixed feedback on the ceramic brakes, from people who track the car often. I hear they are nice but not worth the money for what you get over the stock rs brakes? Any input would be helpful, i am placing the build order next week
I don't have the PCCB's but know a number of people that have swapped there rotors out for steel rotors. The biggest reason is the cost to replace the rotors when they have worn out. Braking isn't any better with the PCCB's, however they are less likely to fade through the course of the day, and they have a lower unsprung weight.
I have tracked my car too many times to remember, and have never encountered a fade problem (even though I have changed my caliper colour to burnt red with the extra heat), the standard brakes are awesome.

Glad to hear some confirmation on what some have told me here locally.
Will it hurt the resale not have the ceramics?
I am thinking of order pretty much every other option including a custom color ( the light gray on the Sport Classic, or ?? ) and possibly do the European delivery options.
Thanks again

Order PCCB but with the assumption that you will remove and store them. THe 8k cost is definitely worth the flexibility of being able to either do Steel or PCCB.
If you do decide you would never use PCCB, you can easily sell them used for more than the option cost (I'll buy them from you at 8k any day).

i love PCCB, but never track the car. it works great on street driving & nearly no brake dust. i personally won't order a GT car without it.
i just send my spec in today. i guess we're the last batch of RS.
What are your specs?
My only options are painted head lamp sprayers and thicker steering wheel, color change from silver to black is automatic. I think black may be standard on '11.
I think they will stop building GT3's when the new model 911 comes out, maybe a bit before when they start retooling.

For track use, I would skip the option. If one were purchasing the car for street duties, there is some bling factor and prestige in having the PCCB. But I have seen more than one PCCB equip P car go off track due to brake issues and weirdness. Stick with tried and tested iron rotors for track use.
