++ on that. He is a first rate idiot without exception. (And like was said, he obviously has not checked out his facts on the differences between the GT3 and the RS). Both outstanding cars on their own, but still different. I am convinced the only draw he has, well, is because he is just flat out obnoxious......... which unfortunately has you coming back. Lets face it on their show, in 1hr about 10mins max is stuff we would like to see, and 50minutes of soap-opera.

I have to say IMO Porsche has always had an interesting options list and a unique way pricing. Especially when you figure out you can option their entry level car up to almost $80k! My confusion has always been why does the Cayman carry a price premium over the Boxster when its not a limited production car. Lets see add a roof and improve by some finite degree one of the worlds best handling cars but pay more.

Every other automaker charges a premium for the convertible, but not Porsche they make you pay more for the coupe!

Targa Tim--Your post is Distilled Brilliance. JC, on the other hand, has degenerated to the Benny Hill of the car world. He is popular not for his contributions to the car-loving community, but for his (usually) amusing intellectual pratfalls. Look ! He's setting fire to his hair ! Look ! That squirrel is going to run right up his pant leg ! Look ! He's putting his mouth around that hot Lamborghini exhaust pipe !

I like the GT3 RS more than the standard GT3 for how she looks ..... and then ..... oh what the heck because of how she looks as I will never master her at the limit

Takes care

+1. The GT3 would be more car than I could handle but I'd still buy the RS just because of it's looks.

JC is a tool at times. Very entertaining, but a tool.

The only reason I bought one is because I WANT ONE. I'm not even driving it lately as it's raining everyday. I feel happy seeing it daily in my garage. I like to be happy. If money can buy happiness, I'll do it all day long.

Car buying does not have to be complicated. If you want one, and you can afford it, then that's it. Whatever extra costs, resell values, all mean nothing to me. While magazine reviews are entertaining, they also mean nothing to me in terms of car buying.
well said

and I would still go for RS over regualer 3 for the look and the performace is always a plus

AMEN

I am so tired or people with ferraris so worried about resale. If you can spend that on a car and your worried about resale GET A LIFE. If i had the cash I would take a yellow 6 speed manual 430. I couldnt care less that yellow and a 6 speed hurt resale it what I want. This guy hit the nail on the head. Thank you.

Also Clarkson likes nothing except his Ford GT. He is an entertainer and no more than that. I dont know why so many people value his opinion. He is making fun or race car drivers because he can never be one with how out of shape and close minded he is. Jealousy is not a great trait to have and its a major trait he has. F Him.

Good for you! I am really fighting the urge to buy an expensive car based pretty much on this method.

But I might be losing the fight!
