GT3 RS upgrade from GT3

Hey Guys

I initially wanted a GT3 RS but my dealer said he may not be getting any allocation. I then got the 2010 GT3 in red.

I absolutely love the car and would never have thought to selling it

But now the GT3 RS is on its way to the dealer and i was wondering i take the 8 month depreciation and buy the RS. Lets just the depreciation is a lot.

I dont know if it is the right move to make as i passed on the GT2 RS as i wanted to try the GT3 at the time.

I know there is hardly a difference but the body kit etc is what i like and i dont like conversions, so should i get this one or wait to the GT3 RS in the new shape

thanks

Since you have a 2010 GT3, I would just sit tight and wait till the next generation GT3 rolls out. It should be worth the wait and besides, you haven't really owned your car for that long.

Look at the financial aspect as well. How much will you loose? Will it be worth the price difference?

I'd suggest looking into a used mk2 RS. People are starting to sell... This way you won't loose another 10-15 grand.

I love the RS, and naturally prefer it over a standard GT3. But I would be extremely happy with a GT3 as well

I turned my car into something it was not, and spent a fortune! Don't make the same mistake! Either keep it stock (cosmetics) or just buy an RS. In the end, it's your money

I say keep the 2010 gt3, i love mine. Put an exhaust and tune and you will forget about the RS.

it's only money. if you can swing it, do it. then if/when LE comes out, do the switch again.

If you must ask then you should do it! There's no guarantee that the next generation will be what you personally is going to be looking for in terms of what Porsche is going to do with the specs. The next GT3RS may have a new engine based on the direct injection 9A1 engine family, a PDK, or hybrid drive, or sequential shifter (like in their cup cars). Also the styling and interior trim etc. may be different and not to your taste. The only way to satisfy yourself is to know what you are lacking in the current 2010 GT3 that spending extra money can remedy.

Good luck as we all wish for the problem/dilemma you are having.

if you have the money and RS car is what you always wanted - use your money while you have them available and be happy. life is short.
