My 07 C4S had one oil drain plug, while my 997 Turbos had two (one at the engine case, and one at the oil tank. I'm doing the new GT3 now and have drained the engine case and there is still plenty of oil to be drained elsewhere....I see another drain plug at the bottom of what appears to be the oil tank - forward of the engine - somewhat thin and tall. Can anyone please confirm that this is the 2nd plug....I don't want to risk undoing something that is actually housing coolant. The dealer provided me with only one crush washer, so I didn't ask them...had thought it was like the normal 997. Thanks!

 

Two drain plugs (found a photo I had taken of my Turbo) and the job is done. Gave up the Mobil 1 0W40 in favor of MOTUL 5W40.
