Can an E30 Dinan turbo smoke a GT3??
Can a Dinan turbo E30 M3 (stock US spec 2.3 litre) smoke a 997.1 GT3?? The owner on this thread claims that he was able to. Im thinking the 20yr old stock motor + dinan turbo would still produce ~ 300hp vs 415hp (crank). Is this possible?

Just wanna share to you folks that this e30 turbo by dinan did it again as best show at DINAN open house and was given an award, I also met the guy that built the exhaust for this car. also found out little more history that it was not six (6) but only five (5) cars was actually built by DINAN, the other one just bought the kit but was never tuned by DINAN, employees of Dinan was so happy to see this car still runs and in excellent condition. I also wanna share that this car smoked a GT3 Porsche and was witnessed by UACC owner when were on our way to Dinan at morgan hill, 136MPH and still wants to go.

Only an idiot would make that statement. Porsche didn't make the GT3 to street race to red lights anyway. Maybe the guy could meet one of us at the track. After he did some classroom time, learned throttle blipping, and what an Apex is, he might not be so ****y.

Once we modify a car and compares it to another factory road car, it becomes an apple-to-orange comparsion...
Just google 10 Seconds Civic -- there are plenty of turn-key cars for sale as low as $4,500. They can smoke most factory road cars at dragstrip, yet I doubt any GT3 or M3 owners would like to give up theirs for one.

Molesting a classic E30 M3 is a shame. My dad's pristine E30 keeps going up in value
when dorks like this tear them up to make them "better." This was the first and last of the real M3's.
These days even BMW SUV's are getting the "M" treatment. Absurd is putting it lightly.
For this reason, I'm with Porsche
PS: I was PO when Porsche stuck a "GTS" badge on a Cayenne.... I'm jumping to McLaren when
