I'm installing an RSS XPIPE on my 07 GT3 RS. Has anyone experience any type of oil leaks arising from removing the 3rd muffler and replacing it with the cross pipes? Was told by someone at the local dealership that by changing the back pressure it somehow affects the crank case pressure and may (MAY) produce too much pressure inside the case and force oil out the front main seal.

I'm sure if that was the case, I would have found something here about it.

Has anyone been running a cross pipe (any brand) for an extended period of time? (ie. 10,000 miles) with no problems?

Thanks advance for any help.

Have GMG installed on 08 GT3, since about 300 miles on the odometer. Exhaust valve solenoid unplugged. Now at 12,000+, and no issues with the front seal. The RMS is another story in itself. PCNA is using these types of excuses (aftermarket exhaust, etc.) to get out of what should be warranty coverage with the RMS, even with the aftermarket center sections. Depending on the dealer, may need to put car back to stock for RMS warranty repair. Don't know about the potential RMS issues in the .2's though.

So 12,000 miles... sounds good to me (no pun intended).

Thanks for the feedback!

Absolutely a must do. RSS was not avail. back when I installed the GMG. My intent was not to take away from the thread regarding the mod. with my rant of the RMS. You must also unplug the solenoid. I have never looked back. Enjoy!!

I replaced my Sharkwerks with an RSS Xpipe about 7000 miles ago. The sound is better and I prefer look at her *** now, since I dont see any bolts. I run a switch to the mufflers to open them when I want and keep em closed when I'm in the Bluetooth. I can't get over the RSS sound...the highlight of my week is at 8000rpm. No oil leak issues in 7000 miles, same garage spot everyday.

Installed the XPIPE today.. Took 2.5 hours. First time doing this and had my little guy helping me. I'll use his comment once we went for a ride with the XPIPE installed - WHOA!!!! You should have seen the looks we got when he got out of the car at the gas station wearing the helmet.

X-Pipe Master Tech...

Great to see him getting involved! He is an X-Pipe Master Tech in the making, maybe we could borrow him for an install at our R&D center...

Enjoy the sound/howl of the X-Pipe!
