My 2 cents...

A track car versus garage queen is a tough question. In some ways a garage queen GT3 could be just as problematic as a track car... or more so. A GT3 that has sat for lots of time could develop RMS or other issues. A track car that has not been properly maintained could have lots of issues as well.

Check for well maintained maintenance records and have a PPI done.

I would say away from PCCB's if you plan on tracking a lot.

Jason

Thanks for the feedback. I agree that I need to be careful with cars that have done nothing but sit. I will probably track 4 times a year, so I think I will be OK with PCCB.

Looks like I finally found the one. I am picking it up Saturday. The PPI and rev report checked out great, so I will see it for the first time this Saturday and pull the trigger if it is what I think it is. i will post pics and details once it is home!

Thanks, sin911.

I am counting the hours until I get on the plane to go pick it up. I got a one-way ticket, so I am confident it will work out! I have not seen the car in person yet, but all things seem to check out. It's a 300 mile drive back home, so I am looking forward to that part of it.

I am really ready for a 997.1 3, have been considering leasing a GTS or CS cab, but having a GT3/2 in the past I feel that I will be disappointed. Would prefer at .2 but $30k diffrence makes it tough rt now. plus I like the sound and looks of the .1 more anyway. If I track it it is all about fun anyway, not shaving half a second on a lap time
