No wonder every 911 depreciates like a rock, they simple keep coming out with too many variations. I love porsche But enough is enough.

Consider that a C4S is already wide body, then this new car is just a C4S with the powerkit. There is really nothing special about this car other than to use up all the spare parts before launching the new 991.

This is really getting out of hand... Are you listening Porsche?!?!?! Stop making 20 something models of the same damn car! We all love 911s but this is too much!

There's no more exclusivity of owning a Porsche, there are millions in the streets simply because there are 1,000 models. The cars have become too soft, too luxurious for a true sports car that even old ladies drive.

Stop making such cars for the sake of making money! It's just pissing off enthusiasts...

since it is a 2012 model, this should be the 991, as 997's last production run is 2011. i don't think that they would produce a 997 and 991 for the same model year.

i could be wrong.

They did it with 996's and 997's. First 997 was made in 05 while they were still making 996's GT3's in 05.

I think someone posted first 991 due Jan or Feb of 2012

option a cab with pdk and your knocking in turbo price range.

bright side be alot of really good priced used GTS's in a year or 2

I agree with you but......
most enthusiast were in an uproar over the production of the Cayenne, and then again with the Panamera, and even a little with the lower priced cars like Boxster. The result was they made most of their sales on those models that we were in an uproar over. Thus I dont think they care about what we approve of or not. If anything, whatever enthusiast complain about, porsche makes more money from. There are probably a lot more non-enthusiast that are buying porsches now, enthusiast are just more vocal.

Agree, very obvious that Porsche is in the game to make money, not to make a small % of its owners whom post on forums happy. Guess what? Business is good.......

have you guys not seen the new marketing campaign Porsche is spending a ton of money on? Porsche: EVERYDAY

^ Yes...you too can pick your kids up in your wife's yellow turbo from school...then hit Home Depot on your way home and fill up the front trunk with garden supplies...these are truly everyday, average person, do it all cars. Every stay at home soccer mom (or parent) should have one at their disposal. Who needs a Jetta, mini van, or pickup truck anyway???

Next Lexus will have an ad out with 911's parked all round the school yard with all the kids coming out looking bored with their parents vanilla choice of transportation.
