Champion Motorsport - Real Race Suspension Upgrades

Hi All,

After several months of designing and development by our engineering staff, we have finally completed testing of our in-house Champion Motorsport adjustable rear upper control arms, rear toe-steer arms, and front bump-steer adjustable tie-rod ends.

Just a few quick facts about our parts that set them apart from the competition.
  • There are no turnbuckles so each part is significantly lighter.
  • Crafted using high-grade 6061 T6 aluminum.
  • All additional components, i.e. tapered spindles, spacer bushings, etc. are made of the finest quality materials.
  • Highest race quality Aurora bearings on each part, with alloy housings.
  • The key design feature you will notice is the absence of jam nuts to lock the arms. During the alignment process, a typical double jam nut style arm requires several realignments due to the arms moving while tightening the nuts. Our arms eliminate this margin of error, making final adjustment much easier. The pinch style clamp locks the arm in place without any movement of the bearing itself.
  • Complete Titanium series is also in production.
What you see in the pictures below is the finished product being installed on our own test car. Stay tuned for pricing and final availability. Our full inventory is in the final stage of anodizing as we speak.

Enjoy the pictures....

The rear toe arm will, but the other parts will not unfortunately. We will hopefully have those available sometime in the future.

I am interested in hearing your reasoning for choosing that grade of material over stronger grades for such a stressed part.
In all reality, the factory part is cast, and if you hold it in your hand you can even feel it flexing. It's essentially designed to be a break-away part. 6061 is plenty strong, and for guys who want even more rigidity, we'll have them available in titanium.

Wow, polished and laser etched! Nice finish work. Will you be offering the same on the mass produced parts?

Yes, what you're seeing is final production parts.

They're laser etched, machined and clear anodized.

agreed....lots of guys making the same parts...RSS, GMG, TPC, TRG ...just to name a few...

the key is in the quality of the rod ends and spirical bearings, that makes all the difference in the world, and will effect pricing somewhat...

look to NVH to increase with time substantially for lower quality bits as time causes wear on solid jointed suspension parts.

Agreed. Hence the reason we chose these particular Aurora bearings. They are about 5X the price of the bearings on parts we've installed in the past, but the ease and smoothness of movement in the bearings themselves is unbelievably better. The bearings are swage-fitted into the rod ends, instead of pressed. The positive effect these bearings have on the ride quality of the car is noticeable in comparison.

and there you have it ... it's all about the rod ends and spirical bearings/heim joints used in any part that is a solid mounting point. A lot of people look at these parts and theink they are all the same or that the least expensive one will work just like the most expensive ones...truth is a lot of the expense is in the qaulity of the rod ends, the middle part heck is easy to fabricate the cost is all in the spirical solid bits... I've had a set of sperical solid camber arms on my race car since 2003!!!! that's right 8 years on track...they were not the cheapest but they are still goinjg strong after so many years and that's with 100% track usage in races and while instructing at DEs... goes to show what a quality rod end can do...

Nice looking parts. Aurora are top of the line for sure. Used the for years on Formula Fords and karts.

It was mentioned " a lot of people make them". Well, I lot of people sell them, few people make them.

Jus saying.
