hello all you gt3/gt3rs owners, what harnesses work best with stock RS seats and factory roll bar? 4 point or is there a 5 point option? please advise!

Schroth 5 points (it looks like six but both sub belts connect at one point) but you will need a sub bar for your seat that you can get from Brey-Kraus

I think which way you go depends if you want to race your car or not. The sub-bar option works well from a practical sense, but I believe for race the harness has to attach to welded in, reinforced eye-bolts, attached to the floor itself. I don't think this is a big deal for a good shop to do for you. If you just want the look, then give Brey Kraus a call and you buy their sub-bars, which bolt under the seat. They are very high quality, just not approved for racing. As far as harnesses go, I have Schroth, which are VERY nice! Check out my photo gallery if you want to see them.

For safety reasons you should not use a harness with a stock style seat.

You should only use a harness with a seat that is designed for a harness like the ones pictures in GT3Chuck post.

I thought the factory RS seats had belt holes (eyeholes) like the Recaro GT3 seats in my car Fabryce...if not, you are absolutely right...stock belts are safer

its for PCA DE's and regular track days. have a factory roll bar. just want safety...and for that reason only.

so DON'T use harnesses in a stock folding back seat?

if there are no eyeholes for the shoulder belts absolutely not...in a crash the belts can slip around the seat bolster and off of your shoulders...there are devices called g locks that can be used with the stock belts that will hold you in better than just the stock belt...I don't believe PCA will let you run with a harness without a proper seat...it shouldn't pass tech...you can also slide your seat back...put on the stock seatbelt and then slide the seat forward to snug up the belt....
