Nice vids. So, vid 3, titled "C2S eventually catching 997 GT3" is referring to when you passed the black GT3 on the straight after he backed off, slowed down and gave you the point by. Just checkin..

Thats not a straight its the craner curves.

In fairness we were both very evenly matched but I was gaining on him big time under braking, my car has ceremics and his does not.

The rules the organisers run on the days we go on that your not to hold up faster cars, so if a car behind is gaining on you then you should move over when safe to do so, indicate they are aware your there and give you the point by.

He then chased me and after 2-3 laps I had only pulled marginally away, again mostly due to my better brakes.

Also the GT3 was on normal Michelin MPSS road tyres like me as he can no longer get Corsas for it which have lost him approx 2s per lap and CUPS are way to expensive at the moment.

Is a C2S quicker than a GT3, no way, but a C2S with some weight reduction, extra power can just about hang with 997.1 GT3's when both cars are on road tyres.

As an example a 997.2 GT3 RS 450BHP on Michelin CUPS with a professional race driver laps Donnington in 1:16, my best lap is just over 1:24 and my mates 997.1 GT3 on Corsa's he has managed 1:22

That's uncalled for, its just a video. What we know for sure is that the gt3 was not in the video to begin with and that it was at the end, there could be any number of things that are the reason but the bottom line is that he caught up to the gt3. It's a DE, and stranger things have happened than a F2f passing a GT3.

Nice videos, looks like a great fun fast and flowing track.

Well... in my opinion it is not uncalled for. When someone brings a vid about a C2S to a GT3 thread titled catching the GT3 it's going to catch some scrutiny. The vid certainly didn't show the C2S catching a well run GT3. It simply didn't show enough of the catch. If it had I would not have responded in the manner I did.

If you're going to bring this kind of claim to another forum/thread one should have the data to support such a claim.

Anyway, the OP took the time to explain so in a nice manner. Cool. Again nice vid.
