How many miles should a CGT have at Delivery? HELP!!
How many miles should a CGT have at Delivery? HELP!!
I have an opportunity for a new 2004 - The Dealer says it has 129 miles and that some 2004 were test driven with that many miles --
Is this BS or reasonable?
Sorry for the cross-post but I need answers

Deeroff,
All of the 14 CGTs that I bought averaged about 120 miles at delivery. Just kidding.
However, it does seem kinda high for a test drive. I think someone must have been joy riding before delivery.
Take it back for a 50% discount.

OK -- cross answer to my cross post.
AND THANKS TO ALL, ESP BEN!!
I just got a copy of the certification at delivery showing 125 when they took it off of the truck -- the dealer called the regional manager and was told that some are picked to test at the factory - given that the cars, as delivered at the port are not driveable (they need certain items installed, etc.) this seems credible.
Thoughts?

i wasn't kidding. was there today. it all happens in the windows in the pic. the production line is rather short compare to the Cayennes next to it. i was watching NO. 799 being built. no pics allowed inside with our personal camera. i'll get more pics from inside later from Porsche. they really don't drive the car much. at least not 100 miles.
When I got my e46 m3 and didnt like it I returned it with 148k miles on it. They said they have to knock it down in price and have me pay the differnece. Because its no longer a new car and by state law they cant represent it as one. I would ask for them to make it up some how by extending the warrenty or writting me out a check.
