We just got a CGT in yesterday, and I thought I would take a few snaps of it. It is Black/Natural Grey. It has silver seat belts and floor mats as options. This car is also for sale, as the person who ordered it, backed out of the order for an SLR.

why is that? the worst car in the world for a true CGT driver is the SLR and likewise the worst car in the world for a true SLR driver is the CGT. one is a fat pig with an automatic transmission that is really more of a cruiser (though apparently it doesn't do a fantastic job at that). the other is a much more focused beast which requires more skill and attention to fully extract what it has to offer. that said, i don't know what bonehead buys an SLR for 3X+ the price of a similarly performing (and more attractive) SL65 which even has the ability to be a convertible. the SL65 is just as fast, but is a MUCH better GT. they both suck **** on the track which is not where either automatic equipped barge belongs.

truthfully guys, people have different needs and wants when it comes to what they drive. it doesn't make them dumb though just because they differ from ours.

usually people choose exotic cars based on what fits their image. i don't know too many people buy an exotic car for performance alone.

most likely, the person wants a more mature car w more luxury and exclusivity. also, slr will keep its value compared to cgt i think. thisis important to collectors.

complete fiction. they'll produce 233% more SLRs than CGTs. post mclaren walking out, SLRs have weakened and will continue to as the 3500 projected production is even remotely reached.

not to say SLR is a bad car & i'd love to own it if i have the cash to buy one. however, i'll be watching if they're really going to build 500 each year for 7 years. look at the performance figure on the SLR & compare with it side by side with the current AMG models line up & u'll see my point. as Ben said the Mclaren is walking & the SL65's V12 is on the edge to the SLR's V8 and AMG is all into the HP game. guess we'll be watching SLR's future.

H;

I guess I will have to stop by the Brumos show room and drool once again over the CGT. Did the night of the open house 2 months ago. I guess there is no chance of me trading in my GT3 straight up for the CGT?

This is true. I'm just bitter and love the CGT to death
