I was thinking you could open the clusters up and remove the face that would fit in a small envelope (cheep shipping and easy trade) I thought I posted a link on how to do that above

if you just trade the whole cluster i think its possible to have it reset at a dealer.

I just want to help out, I hope this is right

Swapping the gauge face is a BFD. It requires opening the instrument cluster which in itself is difficult, and an scalpel to cut the rubber grommet that holds the needles in place.

pardon me bbywu, i didnt mean taking them apart was easy. when I said It was an easy swap I ment once you already have it out shipping the faces would be easy as their size in shipping would be easy (thin pieces of meteral) as appose to sending the whole cluster. I realise that taking them apart is not going to be an easy task as these are not honda civics clusters, although with the proper step by step thread or video as a guidline it would make this possible.

I think it would be cool of someone to help them (if you know how to do it post an example for others to learn from) having the dealer adjust your odo may cost a bit, while your at I would imagine you could pay them to take out the coloured face and reinstall the new black one. i was just hoping to pass on some words of encourgement interms of options.

You are correct I dont imagine this is very stright forward unless ofcourse they had a vid explaining the process and walking them thru it. anyone? I thought one of the links I posted contained the disassembly process. I will have to look around more for that as I know I saw it somewhere before. Now I cannot remember where....

i would call the dealer before sending my cluster anywhere just to be sure that its possible to have them adjust your odo and ask how much they want to do so aswell. These are all just things to consider

I'm down for trading as well. I'm interested in a red gauge cluster. Put me second in line just in case.

Any ideas as to cost of a new gauge cluster?
If you would like to get a brand new instrument cluster we can certainly help you out. We can get the black, white, and yellow faces. Swapping clusters should be plug and play as long as it is the correct part number. There are a few different part numbers depending on what options your car has.

If you would like to contact us directly my email address is in my sig. Let me know if we can help!

thanks ryan for posting this info. Good to know about the Partnumbers before any of us jump into a trade

Last question would be, if one was to get a new cluster then the memory in DME would adjust the odo back to the correct reading?

cheers
