Quick question

So, I am up in NE PA, and it's snowing.
I have the new Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires.
Any idea how the car will do in an inch of snow???
TIA, Mr. B

LOL, really?

I wouldn't even bother to go, the rubber is not designed to work belw a 45 degrees. The loss of an early track day is not worth the potential damage to my car.

Aren't you talking about the cup tires?? Mine are the new Pilot Super Sports and I've been driving them all winter in weather much below 45 degrees. I've found the grip to excellent in vry cold and very wet weather.

Sure they work, but now you are talking about snow. You need grip, snow will take that away. No tire can do everything.

I was in Hazleton. It was snowing furiously when I left, but it wasn't really sticking. The winds were wicked tho.
I started out for home driving very tentatively, but quickly discovered that I had very good grip.
So, four hours later we're home in VA.

NorthVan,
I'm in the Kootenays. Thought winter was more or less done early this year, but about a foot of snow last night put an end to that dream. Little different here than the "wet coast" !
Meanwhile...
Sorry for the OT posts.
Please continue to help the OP fellas.

I live in a country where it snows and from the several, errrrr numerous times, I have touch sporty car tires to snow they have been about as good as tennis shoes on a skating rink. Actually one set of goodyear GSD3's cost me about $9,000 due to the body damage they caused when I pulled onto a snow coverd side street at about 3mph and I could not make the corner.

Wet road with snow falling not much of an issue, built up snow is a bad scene.

Well, I agree with that, as that's what I discovered yesterday.

I found that the new Michelin Pilot Super Sports are really good in the cold and the wet.
